It is a legal entitlement of any party to adjudicate any construction dispute; legislated for under;

Construction Contracts (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 

Construction Contracts Act 2013 (Republic of Ireland)

Scheme for Construction Contracts Regulations 1998 (UK & Wales)

Scheme for Construction Contracts Regulations 1998 (Scotland)

A means to have an Adjudicators Decision provided in respect of the disputed matter, for example, a failure to be paid in accordance with contract terms and conditions.

Adjudicator's Decision provided Referral date + 28 days

Extension at Referring party discretion +14 days

The further extension only by consent

The referring party controls the process

Less costly than adversarial mechanisms such as Arbitration, Litigation with Adjudicator's Decision in a short time period
